Michelle Trachtenberg, known for her scene-stealing roles in TV series like Gossip Girl and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has died. The New York-born actress was only 39 years old.

Deadline was the first to break the news of the actress’s passing, though no cause of death has been revealed as of yet. Per the New York Post, Trachtenberg’s mother discovered her daughter had passed while visiting her Manhattan apartment earlier today.

The New York Police Department also confirmed to People that police responded to a 911 call at her place of residence earlier this morning where they discovered the actress “unconscious and unresponsive.” There is no foul play suspected in the cause of her death, according to the outlet.
