Mass Shooting and Fire at LDS Church in Grand Blanc Leaves Two Dead<\/h1>\n

A Sunday service at\u00a0The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, Michigan<\/strong>, turned into tragedy when a gunman opened fire and set the church ablaze. Police confirmed at least\u00a010 victims were shot<\/strong>, with\u00a0two fatalities<\/strong>\u00a0and others in critical condition. The suspect, a 40-year-old man from Burton, was killed in a gunfight with officers.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Police Chief William Renye<\/strong>, the attacker drove his vehicle through the front doors at\u00a010:25 a.m.<\/strong>, then began shooting before deliberately setting the church on fire. The five-alarm blaze caused a partial collapse before firefighters extinguished it.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0FBI and ATF<\/strong>\u00a0are leading the investigation, with more than 100 agents assigned. Officials are probing possible motives, including whether the attack was connected to the death of\u00a0Russell M. Nelson<\/strong>, LDS president, who passed away Saturday at age 101.<\/p>\n

Political leaders swiftly responded.\u00a0Donald Trump<\/strong>\u00a0called it \u201cyet another targeted attack on Christians,\u201d while\u00a0Gov.
