Travis Kelce wasn’t happy after he was asked a question about popstar girlfriend Taylor Swift ahead of the Super Bowl.
After securing a win over the Buffalo Bills last month, Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs booked their place in the 2025 Super Bowl.
The Chiefs will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in the eagerly-anticipated match at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday.
Ahead of the match, players from both sides spoke with media on Monday afternoon, and Chiefs star Kelce was not happy about one question he was asked.
Ever since their relationship was confirmed in 2023, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce and pop superstar Swift have established themselves as one of the most famous celebrity couples in recent years.
The couple have no doubt brought thousands of new eyes to the sport, leading to some rival fans claiming that referees have been giving the Chiefs favourable officiating due to the potential backlash of ruling against the massive fan base.
Because of this, one reporter on Monday decided to cheekily ask the star tight end whether he loved Swift or “phantom” 15-yard roughing the passer penalties more, suggesting that referees often falsely flag up infractions to help the Chiefs.
“Travis, what do you love more? Taylor Swift or phantom 15-yard roughing the passer penalties in the playoffs?” Asked the reporter
Kelce clearly angered by the question, looked directly at the reported before replying: “That’s a good question. Anybody else?”

In the same press conference, it appears that the same reporter asked a similar question to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, questioning him about referees in the league.
Speaking to Mahomes, the reporter asked: “For your whole career, you have had so many great people help you win, so who is your favourite ref?”
Mahomes, caught aback by the brazen question, replied: “That’s hilarious. No, all the refs are great. All the refs are great. They do the best they can, go out there and play the game the right way.”
The reporter continued to push, asking if the 29-year-old had sent a Christmas card to any referees, but he again didn’t bite, adding: “Not that I can remember. I’ll talk to some of my teammates to figure it out.”
The Chiefs are favourites heading into the Super Bowl, as they hope to seal their fourth championship in six years with their third consecutive title, becoming the first team in the history of the sport to do so.

The Kansas City Chiefs star has revealed whether he intends to keep playing beyond the Super Bowl and who Taylor Swift will be rooting for.
Rumours have circulated for weeks that Travis Kelce could retire after the Super Bowl on February 9.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is aiming to help propel his team to an unprecedented third successive Super Bowl crown when they take on the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans.
And Kelce – teaming up with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes – has once again saved some of his best performances for the playoffs, after what was an underwhelming regular season by his own high standards.
But despite being in the twilight of his illustrious NFL career at 35 years of age, Kelce – who co-hosts the New Heights podcast with his brother and former Eagles star Jason Kelce – has moved to put an end to the talk that he will hang up his cleats after Super Bowl LIX.

“Where will I be in three years? I don’t know. Hopefully, still playing football,” Kelce told the media this week in New Orleans. “I love doing this. I love coming into work every day. I feel like I’ve still got a lot of good football left in me.
“We’ll see what happens. I know I’ve been setting myself up for other opportunities in my life. That’s always been the goal, knowing that football only lasts so long.
“You’ve got to find a way to get into another career and another profession. I’ve been doing that in my offseasons. But for the most part I plan on being a Kansas City Chief and playing football.”
Kelce has been dating pop icon Taylor Swift since 2023. The multimillion-selling songwriter hails from West Reading, Pennsylvania, about 60 miles from Philadelphia. But the Chiefs star insisted Swift will be rooting for Kansas City on Sunday.
“I don’t know her to have the fandom. I know her father has the Philadelphia fandom as an Eagles fan,” Kelce said. “She’ll be all for the Chiefs this time around.”
He was less certain about where her father’s loyalties will lie, however.
“I’ll have to ask Scott himself,” Kelce added. “We haven’t had that convo yet but I think he’ll be wearing red.”

Although the Chiefs star was not present at the awards ceremony, he was still somewhat present after fans spotted a potential nod to Kelce in Swift’s red dress.
Eagle-eyed Swifties spotted a T-shaped charm hanging on the singer’s thigh, which fans are convinced was a tribute to her NFL boyfriend.
One fan wrote: “That is 100% a T for Travis and not Taylor, I love it.”
Another X user added: “HELLLOOOO?!? THE MINI DRESS?! THE ‘T’ CHAIN ON HER THIGH?!?? THIS SERVE!!!”

Swift and Kelce have been together since the summer of 2023, and there have been significant rumours suggesting the couple tying the knot.
According to and a source from Life & Style, the singer has revealed exactly how she feels about taking the next step.
“After 21 months on the road and a year-and-a-half with Travis, Taylor is ready for this next chapter to begin with the love of her life,” the source claimed.
“They’ve got a lot to look forward to, and they couldn’t be more excited about it.”
This comes after Kelce dropped a major wedding hint on his brother Jason’s ‘New Heights’ podcast as the pair discussed potential dates.
“I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer,” he told brother Jason.
“You gotta be willing to find a weekend where the team isn’t playing anybody good maybe.”

NFL fans have been sent into overdrive after a ‘leaked script’ has been shared online.
Kansas City Chiefs are bidding to win a third-successive Super Bowl as they take on the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9.
The showpiece event will take place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans with over 80,000 expected to attend.
Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes are bidding for even more silverware but has the outcome of events already been made public?
As posted by @SMii7Y on X, formerly known as Twitter, the Chiefs are ‘tipped’ to complete their highly sought-after three-peat.
The supposed ‘leak’ also suggests Kelce will propose to Taylor Swift on the field during the celebration. Shortly after, Kelce will announce his retirement.
Supporters are split on the prediction with many believing it is already set in stone how the fairy tale story will transpire.

Kelce, who is set to go in search of his fourth Super Bowl crown, has already spoken up the Chiefs’ chances of success.
Speaking to brother Jason, a now retired NFL star, the 35-year-old admits he and his team-mates are raring to go.
“This team still feels hungry, it feels new, almost,” he said via They Call It Late Night.
“We got a lot of new players, we got a lot of different faces from the previous two Super Bowl runs.
“And it’s really a different identity on the offensive side for sure,” he continued.
“I think it’s just a new, like, mindset on the offensive side. It’s a new journey.”
An estimated 200 million people will sit in front of the TV for four drama-filled hours next weekend, as the world comes together for NFL’s curtain closer.
Predictions also say collectively, almost 1.5 billion chicken wings will be eaten, as the finale of the 2024 NFL season plays out.
The Chiefs are currently the bookmakers favourites at odds as short of 4/5 with outsiders the Eagles priced at 21/20 with bet365.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have reportedly made a major decision about their relationship ahead of Super Bowl LIX.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce and pop superstar Swift began dating in 2023 and are now arguably the most famous couple in the United States, with the pair even being described in some reports as ‘America’s own royal couple’.
Swift has been spotted supporting Kelce at various Chiefs games this season and her attendance has seemingly been beneficial for Kansas, who reached their third consecutive Super Bowl with a 32-29 win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game on Sunday.
The Chiefs will now take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday and are looking to be crowned NFL champions for the third consecutive season.
Rumours are swirling that Kelce may propose to Swift if the Chiefs win next weekend, with the New York Post speculating that a ‘fairytale’ proposal could even happen on the field.
And it appears the couple are ready to take the next step in their relationship.
Weekly US claim Swift and Kelce have discussed living together and buying a property ahead of the game.
The musician is said to be ‘toying with the idea of purchasing a place in Kansas City’ where Kelce is based.
“When they have time, they want to look at real estate,” an unnamed source told the publication, adding that they’ve “talked about exploring buying a home together”.
Kelce has kept tight-lipped about any potential proposal in the build-up to the Super Bowl, although has previously dropped hints about how a marriage to Swift might look.

Speaking in the ‘No Dumb Questions’ segment of his popular podcast New Heights last year, Kelce said: “I’ve seen weddings in f***ing February. I’ve seen weddings everywhere but the fall. So I’m not sure if the fall was a good wedding season.
“I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer.
“You gotta be willing to find a weekend where the team isn’t playing anybody good maybe.
“If you really do have a problem with that, maybe it’s in her best interest to not have it in the fall so that she knows you’re invested in the anniversary every time it comes around. I think you guys should duke that out.”
